We're two sisters raised right here in Manchester, VT. When summer jobs at the horse show vanished thanks to COVID-19, our parents swooped in with a sweet solution. A vacant storefront downtown became our chance to run an ice cream shop in the summer of 2020 – a way to earn college funds.
It all began as a pop-up shop (Mom's nickname!), but your amazing support kept us scooping year after year. We reopened in 2021, 2022, 2023 and now we're back for another fun season in 2024, 2025 and now it is 2026!
Mom & Dad are going to continue to serve breakfast inside until 1pm. The patio will open at 1pm. If it rains the ice cream / food on the back patio will be closed.
Bella graduated in 2022 and Hannah just graduated 2024. Hannah is moving back from San Francisco so she might be joining us this summer of 2026. Unfortunately Bella moved on after college graduation and she is thriving in Boston with all of her Union College friends.
Mark your calendars! We are opening June 5, 2026 we will go until Labor Day weekend at which point it will just be ice cream out the back window until we run out.
A Year of Growth:
2022 brought exciting changes! One sister graduated and chased her dreams in Boston, while the other sister teamed up with Mom and Dad to run The Cold Cow.
2023 was all about expansion: we added a lovely patio in 2022, and last year, we're proud to offer beer and wine (cheers!). We've also expanded our ice cream service with a dedicated back window for even faster scoops.
2024 was a relatively smooth ride
2025 Hannah moved to San Francisco and mom and dad struggled without her. However, Katerina joined our team and it ran relatively smoothly.
2026 Starting late - Adam had surgery and it was a tad rainy. We are ready to get started on June 5, 2026. Wishing everyone a great summer!!!!!
Dine Out: We will only be serving on the back patio!
We can't wait to see you and share our shop with you! Just remember:
Food and Ice Cream Hours May Differ (be sure to check our signs!)
Rain may prompt early closures. With the new indoor dining we should stay open more.
Get ready for a summer of sweet treats and good times at The Cold Cow Creamery !!!
